Don't Total My Car
As a Louisville personal injury attorney, clients often say they don’t want to have to total their car after a collision. I’ll explain this in today’s brief video. The bottom line is we may not have a choice. Based on the fair market value of the car and the extend of the damages, they may be required by law to total it.
As someone who enjoys older cars, I understand why you might want to keep your car. At the same time, because of the fair market value rule, I also understand how it may be difficult to replace the car.
I’ve built a reputation on speaking candidly, even when the news isn’t exactly what someone wants to hear. It’s better to have facts rather than getting false hopes from someone, when it comes to these situations.
